Hulman Center Yard Sale 7.25.09

We participated in the Hulman Center Yard Sale again this year. Last year, I did not have my jewelry merchandised very well, and I only sold one piece, and that was to my Mom! This year, I had proper displays, and I was very pleased with the look. I sold 5 pairs of earrings, 2 cell phone charms and 2 items from my $1 clearance basket! Lots of people stopped and looked, and remarked that they liked the jewelry, and several people took my card. However, people don't seem to want to pay what things are worth at a "yard sale". I think I'll try a craft fair in the fall. Watch this site for more details!

I'll have more pic of my jewelry up soon. I took several at the yard sale, but they didn't turn out very well, so I have to redo them. Here is my set up from the yard sale.

"Goal" bracelet

Anyone who has known me for any length of time knows that I'm always trying to lose weight. So in my latest quest to motivate myself, I made a bracelet to give me a visual reminder to focus on my goal, not just on what I want right now. See more here.

The pics aren't the greatest. Graduated Swarovski crystals in the middle, with black and clear silver-lined seed beads on memory wire. The smaller crystals going to the larger are to represent movement toward my goals. Hopefully it will help!

FINALLY!! A new entry.

I didn't realize it has been over a year since I've updated this. I have been making jewelry. Just not posting anything. Sorry.

Here is a bracelet and earring set I made for my mother last year.

The large green squares are cannibalized from an old watch, and the pale green beads are seeds of some sort.
