Mary's Christmas bracelet

My bestest customer, Mary, brought in a picture from a magazine of a watch. She didn't want the watch face, but wanted to know if I could make the bracelet. I can't find a picture of the original on line, but here is my version.

Glama tree

Here is this year's version of the Glama tree, which decorates my desk at work.

Earring wreath

This is a wreath I made for my cube at work. I had a lot of miscellaneous clip and screw-back earrings, some of which on their own were kinda ugly. But all together, they look great! I love the pink poinsettias, too.

Necklaces

Here are a couple of necklaces I created using larger focal beads as pendants.

For the first necklace, I used eye pins to create the links, instead of string the beads on wire.

Football bracelet

My nephew, Joshua, is on the football team at Casey-Westfield High School. I decided my sister need some appropriate jewelry to wear to the games.

Memory wire rings

I've been experimenting with memory wire rings. A little tedious to make, but fun to wear!

Necklaces

I created this necklace and earring set from some beads my friend Shauna gave me. I thought the elephant was kinda fun for summer.

My friend Mary, who's also one of my best customers, bought me a bunch of beads for my birthday. I made this necklace for myself. Shauna admired it, and she got one for her birthday. (She's soooo much younger than me!)

Memory wire bracelets

I love memory wire bracelets! The white and gold beads are from some jewelry I picked up at yard sales this summer.

Ankle Bracelet

Several of the girls at work wanted ankle bracelets. I made this one for myself. I also made them with a couple of different shades of blue flower.

Angel's birthday

I went to an accessories store in the mall, where they were having a clearance sale of 10 items for $5. I got some pendants and several pairs of earrings. The pendant on this necklace, created for my co-worker Angel's birthday, is one of the earrings.

Vintage Pearl Set

I went yard sale-ing this past week-end, and bought a quart baggie full of vintage earring and pins. Some of them are pretty ugly, but some will make some fabulous jewelry when disassembled.

I took apart these 2 earrings that didn't match...

to create this bracelet and earring set.

Angel's necklace

I used the spiral rope chain stitch for this necklace, but reduced both the core and spiral by one bead to make it a little smaller.

Mary's necklace

My friend Mary had purchased the pendant pictured here many years ago, but hand not done anything with it. She commissioned the spiral rope chain to put it on, and also earrings to match. She wants a bracelet, now, too!

Dad's hatband

My Dad's birthday is Monday. I was going to make him a mix cd of some of his favorite country and bluegrass music, but that's what I always do. My husband was joking that I should make Dad a bracelet, since everyone else gets one. Dad wouldn't wear a bracelet, but he does wear a cowboy hat, so I made him a hat band.

Grandma's bracelet

I didn't want Grandma to feel left out! Her bracelet is on stretch cord, so that she won't have to deal with a clasp.

Terry's bracelet

My uncle Terry is visiting, too. I also made him a bracelet.

Sandy's jewelry

My aunt Sandy is visiting from Arizona. I haven't seen here in a few years, and thought I'd make her some jewelry.

After she saw this blog, she specifically mentioned hearts, so this pair of earrings is the result.

Scissor/cell phone charms

A friend at work asked if I could make scissor charms. I told her I didn't know what they were, but if she showed me one, probably. She uses them to identify her scissors at scrap-booking parties. They can also be cell phone charms, zipper pulls, or whatever you like!

Candle Jar

This is a candle jar I made as a birthday gift for one of the nurses at work. It is the first time that I used wrapped loops. I didn't really do them by the book, and they are a little "rustic", which I think works in this piece.

St.Patrick's Day necklace and earrings

Last Friday we had another "beading bee" at my friend Laura's house. She is insanely talented, and made a bunch of St. Patrick's Day beads for us to play with. Here is what I came up with.

Button necklace

One Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago, I went through my button tin looking for inspiration. Here's what I came up with.

I love the purples in the mother of pearl button.

This is the first time I have mixed chain and beading.

Pam's bracelet

I made this bracelet for my sister, Pam. The first attempt was too small, so I suggested she give it to one of her grand daughters.

This is the version that I think will actually fit her. I haven't seen her again yet to give it to her.

The clasp is a button I bought years ago in a tin of buttons at a yard sale. I love yard sales, and can't wait to go this summer and look for beads and jewelry to deconstruct and reconstruct.

Green bracelet & memory wire bracelet

I made this green bracelet to go with an outfit I was wearing to work for casual day. It's so cool that if I don't have jewelry to go with an outfit, I can just make it!

I made this memory wire bracelet at a "beading bee" at my friend Laura's house. I really like the color of these beads. It is one of my first attempts at randomly stringing beads. I'm pretty anal about symmetry, and this was an effort on my part. Even the green bracelet above, is symmetrical, but in reverse from one strand to the other.
